Day 01

Arrival & Misty Highland Sanctuary

Schedule: Meet your private chauffeur at Colombo Airport and travel into Sri Lanka’s cool central highlands, winding through cascading waterfalls, tea-covered mountains and misty valleys towards Nuwara Eliya.

Afternoon: Settle into your highland retreat and take the afternoon slowly. Enjoy a gentle stroll around Gregory Lake before returning to the warmth of the hotel for tea by the fireplace.

Day 02

Cloud Forests & World's End

Nuwara Eliya · Horton Plains

Morning: Set out early for Horton Plains National Park and follow a scenic trail through misty cloud forests towards the dramatic World’s End viewpoint and the cascading Baker’s Falls.

Afternoon: Return to Nuwara Eliya and leave the rest of the day unhurried. Explore the historic town, visit the red-brick post office, enjoy a cup of Ceylon tea or simply relax back at the hotel.

Day 03

The Highland Railway & Mega-Zipline

Nanu Oya · Ella

Morning: Board the scenic highland train from Nanu Oya towards Ella, travelling through misty valleys, tea-covered slopes, forests and mountain tunnels.

Afternoon: Arrive in Ella and experience the Flying Ravana Mega-Zipline, soaring side-by-side above the green valley and surrounding tea country. Afterwards, check into your cliffside retreat and let the evening slow down beside the pool.

Day 04

Sunrise, Nine Arches & Diyaluma Falls

Ella · Diyaluma Falls

Morning: Begin with a gentle sunrise walk to Little Adam’s Peak for panoramic views across the Ella Gap, followed by a relaxed visit to the iconic Nine Arches Bridge.

Afternoon: Continue towards Diyaluma Falls, Sri Lanka’s second-highest waterfall. Follow the trail towards the upper pools, where natural rock pools sit along the escarpment overlooking the surrounding valleys. Take a refreshing swim before returning to Ella.

Evening: Return to your resort with time to relax and enjoy the evening at your own pace.

Day 05

Ravana Falls & Farewell to the Highlands

Schedule: Your private chauffeur continues to Colombo Airport, timed according to your departure flight.

Afternoon: Private airport drop-off and farewell to Sri Lanka.

Booking & Payment

A deposit of 20 % is required to confirm your booking.

The remaining 80 % can be paid in cash upon arrival or by bank transfer no later than 3 days before your arrival.

For bank transfers, all applicable bank charges are to be covered by the customer. The full invoice amount must be received by Die kleine Insel.

Cancellation Policy

The 20 % deposit is generally non-refundable.

In the event of cancellations within 30 days before arrival, as well as in the case of no-shows, there is also no entitlement to a refund, as accommodation, transfers and other travel services are arranged and confirmed in advance on a binding basis.
