Day 02

Tea Country & Slow Moments

Morning: Begin the day slowly with breakfast before heading into the surrounding tea country. Enjoy a private guided walk through the estate landscapes and learn about Sri Lanka’s tea traditions, from the cultivation of the leaves to the art of tasting.

Afternoon: Return for time to relax together. Depending on availability, enjoy a couples’ spa treatment before a peaceful boat ride on Gregory Lake, surrounded by the green hills of Nuwara Eliya.

Day 03

The Highland Railway to Ella

Morning: Travel to Nanu Oya station and board the scenic train towards Ella. As the train climbs and descends through Sri Lanka’s central highlands, watch tea plantations, forests, mountain valleys and waterfalls unfold beyond the windows.

Afternoon: Arrive in Ella and continue to your secluded hill-country retreat. After settling in, take a relaxed walk through the surrounding landscape and watch the evening light settle over the mountains.

Day 04

Mountain Sunrise & Departure

Ella · Ravana Falls · Colombo Airport

Early Morning: If your departure schedule allows, rise early for sunrise over the Ella mountains. A short visit to Little Adam’s Peak offers sweeping views across the surrounding valleys.

Morning: After breakfast, begin the journey back towards Colombo. Stop at Ravana Falls along the way before continuing towards the airport.

Departure: Your private chauffeur will take you directly to Colombo Airport for your onward journey.

Booking & Payment

A deposit of 20 % is required to confirm your booking.

The remaining 80 % can be paid in cash upon arrival or by bank transfer no later than 3 days before your arrival.

For bank transfers, all applicable bank charges are to be covered by the customer. The full invoice amount must be received by Die kleine Insel.

Cancellation Policy

The 20 % deposit is generally non-refundable.

In the event of cancellations within 30 days before arrival, as well as in the case of no-shows, there is also no entitlement to a refund, as accommodation, transfers and other travel services are arranged and confirmed in advance on a binding basis.
